Blog post doesn't show up on blog

I published a blog post yesterday and it went out to my list of subscribers, but did not show up on my blog (therefore the link to it in the emails to my subscribers didn’t work). I emailed support and they told me to republish the post. But won’t this send it out to my subscribers again? I don’t want a repeat of the same thing.
Any suggestions?

Was it “How to Take a Pretend Vacation”?
If so, that post was set back to a Draft status.
You’ll need to edit it and click the blue Publish button to publish it.

Yes, that’s it. Thanks! But why did it go out to my subscribers? And won’t it go out to them again if I republish it?

It won’t go out again if you republish.
It looks like it was set as a Draft after publishing, which is why it went out and later disappeared.
