Blog post not showing up

  I opened a free WordPress blog this afternoon. I wrote my first blog piece and pressed ‘publish’. The piece shows up in my list of posts in the admin menu but it has not appeared on my homepage online. Maybe i’m missing something obvious but any help on how to get it there would be appreciated!

  I visited your site and noticed that your blog post appears on your homepage.

  

  Is it possible that I see something different than what you see when you visit your homepage? Thanks for the additional info!
