  I belong to a group blog which is set to private- only approved users can see it. However, I noticed that next to each individual blog ( various authors) visibility is set to Public. Please can you advise?

  Hi ehnizdo,

  wra100words.wordpress.com is marked private, which means only people who have been invited to the site will be able to view it:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/#privacy-options

  The post visibility is set to public but they won’t be visible to anyone who hasn’t been invited to the site manually. You could mark individual posts as private but this would only be necessary if you wanted certain content to only be visible to certain invited members:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/

  If you want all content to be visible to all invited members (but hidden from the public), the way you have currently set up the site is fine :)
