  I want to set up this new blog under a new gmail account but it keeps reverting to my current WordPress site

  Hi there!

  If you want to create a new account, you will need to log out from the current one and then create a new one instead of logging back in.
  Also, note that you can create multiple sites under one account; there is no need to create a new one to build a brand new site.
