Blog stats lost

Hi there,
Just wanted to find out if there’s some sort of bug with Jetpack?
I had an issue on my blog today with uploading images, so I disabled all plugins to find out the cause. Afterwards when I reactivated everything my blog stats wouldn’t load.
It kept saying the the user ‘jayhoque’ does not have authorisation to view stats on this blog.
At this stage there was no option in Jetpack to enter the wordpress API key or any other way to regain access. So I deactivated and deleted both plugins and reinstalled.
After reinstalling I realised that ALL my previous stats have been lost.
WordPress.com also did not recognise my current blog all of a sudden, so I had to register that. My blog used to reside on ‘www.jhoque.com’ back in 2009 when i first got the API key. It now resides in ‘jhoque.com/blog’ but I haven’t had any issues viewing stats until today.
Is there a way to recover my old data and merge with the new stats? If not, I at least want all the old data back.
Please help.

Unfortunately, that is a known issue. Due to the blog’s name change since it had been using the old WordPress.com Stats plugin, the stats can’t be transferred into Jetpack.

Why is that?
I changed my blog’s directory back in 2009, long before I installed Jetpack. It was working all this time using the wordpress.com stats without any issues and now all of a sudden it doesn’t?!
If Jetpack have taken over the updates of all wordpress stats plugin there must be a way to recover the old data at least?
