  I have already created and post a blog, with a travel.blog. address. How do I change it to a website without the travel.blog address? The existing blog can then be a page in the website.

  You can definitely use the WordPress site you just started to create a website instead of a blog.

  I have a wordpress blog with many posts. I’d like to change it to a website, but not lose the posts. I understand I need a static front page, but if I change to that, what will happen to all the posts I’ve created in the past year?

  When you select a static front page, you can also select what page the posts appear on: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/
