I am going to shut down my website and want to make sure that I don’t lose my blog. Is my WordPress blog hosted on WordPress and only linked to via my website or does it reside on my site host’s server? Is there a way to download my whole blog into a .pdf?

What is the URL of the website you want to shut down?

Once I know for sure which site you want to delete, I’ll take a look for you and point you in the right direction :)
Is there a way to download my whole blog into a .pdf?
We don’t provide the option to download your whole blog as a PDF but there are a couple of other options:
1. Save individual posts to PDF using your browser’s Print menu: click File > Print > Save to PDF.
2. Export your content:
The content would need to be imported into another blog to be readable.
Let me know which site you want to shut down and we’ll go from there.

Thank you. I already contacted my website hosting company. They explained that the content of my blog on WordPress resides on WordPress. I was still able to access it even after my website was shut down.
I will try your instructions for downloading my content.

I already contacted my website hosting company.
If you are using a hosting company, then you have a self hosted WordPress.org site, not a WordPress.com site. The differences between the two are explained here:
The export instructions I gave you will only work for WordPress.com sites. You can ask about the best way to export your content on the WordPress.org support forums:
