Blog URL

    Hi! I’m trying to make a blog using a URL that had previously been used but said the authors had deleted the site. However, the URL does not show up as available when I try to use it. Just wanted some help, thanks!

    Are you talking about a former WordPress.com site and you see the message:

    somethingsomething.wordpress.com is no longer available.
    The authors have deleted this site.

    If it was an address that you personally deleted less than 30 days ago then staff can recover it for you. If that address was deleted by someone else then it is no longer available for re-use.

    You could always upgrade to a paid plan and possibly use the address of your choice with a different suffix instead of WordPress.com.
