Blog versus website

Hey quick question I think. I want to start blogging that will eventually turn into a health coaching business. But right now I just need to start writing and posting. So does it make sense to just start a blog and then when I am ready turn it into a website? Any help would be great.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

You can definitely do that. A blog is still a website, just one where the posts, a.k.a a newsfeed, is the main focus. But you can change it at any time to resemble a more traditional website format where static pages are the main focus instead.

    Set the Homepage

When you do that I would recommend that you retain a blog/news section, and post updates about your business or general articles about your field occasionally: search engines give preference to recent content, i.e. blog posts, over static pages that aren’t changed much once published. So the most successful business websites use a combination of static pages and blog posts.
