blogger to wordpress not working – fetches only part of content

  I’m trying to import my blogger blog into wordpress. the first time i did it, it successfully imported the posts, but for comments it only imported the skeleton – like the author and the post it’s related to – but not the actual comment.
  The next time it tired it after deleting all posts and comments, even the blog posts weren’t imported properly.

  Can you please try the import one more time? It won’t duplicate content, and may find what it missed.

  If that doesn’t work, we can try again after emptying it out.

  I tried re-importing as well as clearing up everything .. it didn’t work.
  i tired it on blog.sanjeevg.com too, out there it imports the posts but not the comments.. :(

  Are you trying the direct import method, or are you using an export file Blogger?

  If you’re trying the direct method, would you please try the export file method?

  I deleted a few comments and tried importing through the blogger export file but that didn’t help either..

  It won’t import contents related to already existing posts, so we’ll need to try emptying it out again.

  also i don’t see the option to import using the import file when i intall the blogger import plugin on blog.sanjeevg.com

  I’m not sure what the problem was. I think there may have been some lingering data that the importer interpreted as a duplicate.

  Our importer is a bit different than the one you can use on self-hosted blogs like blog.sanjeevg.com

  Unfortunately, we can’t support self-hosted WordPress.org blogs here.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

  WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress via their Codex and Support Forums.
