Blogpost mysterious setback 3 months

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hey everyone,

one of my blogposts was setback about 2 months. It shows an old version of the post and it also does not show the saved reusable blocks anymore.

When I go to the Autosaves and Revisions it shows me that the post was last updated 3 months ago. This is not true because I updated it several times in the meantime.

Any idea how this can happen? Anybody had a similar problem?

Not really in the mood to do all the work from the last months again.

    Best wishes,

    Job
something strange happened and I hope you can help me or point me in the right direction.

Every month I update this article:

I also updated it in the beginning of August and in the beginning of September.

Today I go into my WordPress and I find that the article has been set back to July for some strange reason. If I go into Revisions and Autosaves of the article, the first revision shows 3 months ago which is just not true.

Any idea what this can be?
Any ideas where I can find the later versions of that article?

  • Hi Job, these forums are for the free sites using our managed hosting service, which can be quite different from running your own WordPress installation at another host.

As admins on WordPress.com, we can’t see the back end and revisions and what not unless the site is hosted here.

You might ask your host if they have incremental backups that would show more info, otherwise, here’s a link to the correct forums for self-managed sites:

    Good luck!
