Bluehost to WordPress

  Hi there,

  My boss bought a domain with Bluehost some years ago. I am trying to create a WordPress website with that domain name now, but am not sure how to do it. When I asked for help via Bluehost, they wanted me to make a new WordPress account. Will I need to delete this one and make a new account instead of using this account I already created for the sole purpose of making this new website? Kind of disappointing, since I have to wait 30 days to use this email/account name again, but I understand if that’s what I need to do.

  We have two ways to use a domain you already own with a site here on WordPress.com:

  Mapping allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  A transfer would allow to manage both your site and domain from the same place: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
