Bringing a deleted page/username back

    I deleted a page a bit ago because I wanted to start from scratch. When I started over, I didn’t get the warning that the ‘username is already used’ because it turns out I had a typo in it. I just noticed this error and I tried to change the username to what it should be ‘lifewithapit.’ Now it is saying that it was already used. I did not realize that deleting a page would not re-open a username. So am I able to get my old username/account restored? I have created pages with ‘lifewithapit’ and ‘lifewithapitbull.’

    The username lifewithapit was permanently discarded several months ago when the account was renamed:

    Change Your Username

    I’m afraid there isn’t a way to get this username back again but you can continue to use a variation of it.

    I did not realize that deleting a page would not re-open a username.

    Deleting a site won’t automatically the delete username — this only happens if you choose to manually close an account. In this instance, lifewithapit was a completely separate account from the one you are logged in to now.
