Broken

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi! My account doesn’t reflect my purchase and the domain transfer didn’t work, except that it broke my site. Please help me figure this out or extend me a refund, and I will go back to squarespace. Ive tried to reach WordPress CS and heard no response. I’d really appreciate some help. Thanks! Paul

  • Hi there,

What is the address of the site you’re speaking of? And what is the domain you tried to transfer?

The account you’re using to post here has never bought any upgrades on WordPress.com, and only owns the free site, http://paultaegel.wordpress.com/, which is working fine.

As I mentioned, I paid for the site transfer of paultaegel.com and for a premium account and have the receipt. The fact that WordPress seems unaware of this is the issue. I’d be happy to email a screenshot of the receipt. Is there a phone number I could use. I’ve been emailing for days about this, and where I appreciate your help, the communication here is not really working out. Thanks, Paul.

  • Hi –

The transfer was never initiated because the domain needs to be unlocked at your current domain registrar first. Please do that, then retry the transfer.

Thanks. Unlocked my domain, but it still prompts me to pay for a subscription, which I have already done.

  • Hi there,

This is happening because you’re logged in to another WordPress.com account that doesn’t have any upgrades purchased.

Please login to the paultaegel5a0244b392 account (the one you used your Gmail email address to register) and you’ll be able to view your Premium plan and complete the domain transfer.

If you don’t remember the password for that account, you can use the password reset form:
