Bug? – When I paste text into Gutenberg today I get weird a classic editor box come up!

Hi. I’m pretty new to WP but using it fine now I’ve found my way around the blocks in Gutenberg. This morning however, every time I copy text into a paragraph block it gives me a detailed classic editor menu inside the paragraph block and does strange things to the text which it insets way below. Please help. I don’t know how it’s suddenly happened. I haven’t played with any settings, and I’ve tried logging in and out and opening it up again to see if it helps. nope! Thank you so much.

Hello! It’s gailmuller.com and I am copying and pasting from Word on my Mac, which I’ve done since I’ve been putting my articles in. Never a problem until today. So annoying! Thanks for trying to help.

Umm I just tried to copy and paste it to Notes and then in from Notes and it worked ok! What is up with Word? Do you think that’s the prob? Thanks

We can’t help you as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform but uses the open source wordpress.org. Their support is at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.
I can tell you Word produces terrible html with a lot of garbage, so I’m quite sure Word is the cause for your problem. -
Ahh ok! Thanks for explaining that. I have no idea about the .com or .org. A friend set it up for me and I’m trying so hard to understand it all!
