Build a homepage

  I would like to create a homepage and I know exactly how I want it to look like:
  – in the left slot numbered headings to click on for to go to actual discussion; in the same slot but in a new “route” where you can click to earlier inlays ordered by date / year; and finally in the same left handed slot a click bar for to find contact addresses, phone numbers aso
  – a right handed slot where our society’s motto can be red and where you can click in to our meeting minutes aso
  – A slot in the middle with articles about the latest news

  I’ve got a picture (made in MS Word) where you can see how it would look like.

  Is it possible for you to help me?

  Hi there, what you are going to want to start with is a three-column theme. Here is a link to a listing of all the free themes we have that support three column layouts.

  For the menu on the left, you can use a Custom Menu Widget and for the listing of posts by date, an Archives Widget. For the contact information, you can use the Contact Info Widget.

  On the right, you can use a Text Widget for your society’s motto and add a link to the bottom of it to take people to your meeting minutes. Here are some helpful links for working with text widgets.

  To have your latest posts (news) in the center area, under Settings, you would make sure your front page is set to show your posts.
