Building a new site

    Hi. I am building a new website. Once finished, I want to take my domain and transfer to another hosting service. I want my site to remain as it is until I am finished with the new site, therefore, I don’t want anything connected/transferred yet.

    Hi there,

    In instances like this we recommend that you set up your replacement site using our free “WordPress.com” site address, such as the one you have for 100thmonkey881838520.wordpress.com

    Once you are all set and ready to “launch” this new site to replace your existing one, you can do so by transferring your domain to us so it no longer connects to the existing site but to your new site instead.

    When you move your domain in this way it seamlessly launched the new site to take the place of the existing one with no downtime.
