building a new site with an existing domain and current site

  I am trying to build a customer site using wordpress. We have a domain, we have a server it is currently stored at, and we have an approved graphic layout. Now, I want to build it in wordpress, edit with customer, test it on a responsive level, and launch it replacing the old site with the new one built in wordpress.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  not the blog, but a new site, on an existing server, with an existing domain, and edit, test and launch in place of the existing site.
