Building a new website and transferring domain

    Hi, I currently have my website built on Tilda, and want to move it to WordPress. I own the URL, can I build the website on wordpress under a different (free) URL on wordpress, and then once it is built transfer the URL to the site away from Tilda? I currently have ecommerce via Ecwid also, and want to keep it there. Can you advise please?

    Yes, that’s possible. You can start building your site using a free .wordpress.com address and you can even upgrade to one of our plans. Then, when you’re ready, you can switch your domain to us and take your old site offline.

    Yes, you can keep your e-commerce site there and connect it to your site as a subdomain (e.g. https://yourshop.yoursite.com).
