  hello I’m helping a friend build a website. They own the domain and have hosting. I’m just making it look pretty. when I try to upload a purchased theme, your site is making me choose to purchase a domain and hosting. How can I get around those options and upload a theme of my own without purchasing domain/hosting?

  Here at WordPress.com an upgrade to the Business plan is necessary to install a theme purchased elsewhere.
