I want to build .com.au website for my startup. When I show WordPress does not support .com.au same as .com or other websites. I figured out I have to do the mapping. However, I wanted to know what should I put in option ‘Map this domain to use it as your site’s address’. My website address is eitsaa.com.au and I want to go with the Premium plan of yours. At last, I want my address totally same ‘eitsaa.com.au’. Does mapping means suppose someone types my address and address get changed? If it is then I do not want to start with the plan. If the address does not get changed till user stays on my page from starting then please provide me with the steps what should I put in Mapping prompts for keeping website name eistaa.com.au.

I don’t understand what you’re saying here. Mapping is used to connect a domain to your site. So if eitsaa.com.au is mapped to your WordPress.com site, eitsaa.wordpress.com, it means when someone types eitsaa.com.au in their browser they’ll see the content at eitsaa.wordpress.com but the address in the browser will show as eitsaa.com.au

Thank you for clearing my doubt.
I have another query:
I owns eitsaa.com and eitsaa.com.au
Now, If I dont want to direct eitsaa.com.au to eitsaa.wordpress.com and istead of that I want to direct eitsaa.com.au to eitsaa.com, then what should I do from following options:
1) Transfer my website eitsaa.com to wordpress and build that website with premium plan and then again get premium plan and direct eitsaa.com.au?
2) just purchase premium plan with changing main website as eitsaa.com from eitsaa.com.au and subsequently I can direct link for eitsaa.com.au?
3) once I buy premium package eitsaa.wordpress.com will become eitsaa.com and just need to direct the link?
Bit confusing for me. Appreciate your time.

@amitpatel231293 do you want to map both domains to the same site? If you did that:

– When someone types eitsaa.com.au or eitsaa.com or even eitsaa.wordpress.com, the browser would show eitsaa.com as the address

– eitsaa.com would show the site you’ve set up via eitsaa.wordpress.com

Let us know if that would work. Basically eitsaa.wordpress.com is the base site. You can add multiple custom domains to it, and choose one as the primary domain.

You might also be able to map just eitsaa.com, and redirect eitsaa.com.au to eitsaa.com through your domain provider.
