Building wordpress site while current Wix site stays up

  Hi, I am looking to build a WordPress site but keep my current Wix site up while I do so. Can seem to get past the screen that wants me to sign up for hosting or keep hosting with Wix.

  wordpress.com has an easy to use Wix-importer, so you don’t need to build up your site.
