  Hello, I’m trying to do this business website tutorial. I have wordpress through hostgator. I tried to go through a tutorial that led me to this. I don’t know how to continue without paying, or transferring my website?

  If you already have wordpress through Hostgator, you are using the open source wordpress.org. WordPress.com and wordpress.org are two completely different systems, https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/. But you really don’t need to transfer your site to wordpress.com to make a website on wordpress.org.
