Buttons not working (quick Edit, add Media)?

    I am unable to click on several buttons. The buttons that do not work are: under dashboard>posts: the Quick Edit button; under Quick Press> Add Media, or Add Poll. Under the full edit page of my posts, I cannot open Add Media or change the status of the post. On the top of the the dashboard, the drop down menus of Screen Options and Help do not work. Additionally, I could not even click to enter this support question! I am typing this now on my android phone.

    I have tried Chrome and IE, on my Win7 laptop, as well as a brand new Win8.1 laptop. All browsers are up to date, flash is up to date. Cookies and cache cleared. Secure https address. I have tried multiple different themes from the original Garland theme with no difference.

    I am typing this on my phone which is the only way I have been able to click any of the buttons I’ve listed (so apparently it works in android and not windows?).
    I must be able to use my computer in order to keep my website up to date, and absolutely need to be able to insert photos and quickly change the status of my posts. I will need to find an alternative blog hosting service if this can’t be resolved. This has persisted for weeks. Hopefully there is something simple that I’m missing.

    Hi there,

    It sounds like Javascript may not be working in your browsers. Can you check to make sure that Javascript is enabled and you aren’t using any script blockers in your browsers? You can check to see if Javascript is enabled here: http://supportdetails.com/

    To make sure a script blocker or other browser extension isn’t interfering, can you also try opening the dashboard in Chrome’s incognito mode?

    Also, in IE, please make sure that Compatibility View is disabled: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view

    If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please let me know and we can keep troubleshooting this issue!
