Buying old domain name

  I purchased a domain through godaddy last year and it has now expired. I’m wondering if I can use it for wordpress. When I try to search it, it doesn’t show up as available. Please advise?

  If you are talking about http://www.mmmichibakes.ca/ that domain has been bought by domain squatters.

  You could try to buy it back from them, but that gonna cost you a lot of money and I mean a lot of money; 4 figures or more.

  Best solution is to go for another TLD instead of .ca. You find a list of supported TLD’s at https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/
