Cache Error

Hi there. I recently updated the plugins on my site, as well as the version of WordPress itself. My site is hosted through WordPress. Some cache app is giving me the error of:

‘The file /home/customer/www/kathleenballard-photography.com/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php already exists. Please manually delete it before using this plugin. If you continue to see this message after deleting it please contact your hosting support.’

No matter what I click on the site, I see the same error. Where do I go from here? I can’t delete the app, because I can’t make ANY changes.

Hi there, your site is hosted with SiteGround and we are not able to assist with sites not hosted on WordPress.com.

Have you tried contacting your web hosting provider for assistance? If they say this is a WordPress problem, head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll find documentation and users who have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.

Just to clarify, this support forum assists users with free websites hosted on the WPcom platform. For more information on the differences: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
