Calendar not working

  Greetings! Just getting started tonight!
  Uploaded the Calendar widget and it’s not displaying properly. It doesn’t have the navs below for past/future months.
  Also – can’t find any info about how to add a future event to the calendar – I am just off-base here for what the Calendar can do?

  The Calendar Widget here displays dates on which blog posts are published. If you’ve just gotten started, it won’t have a “previous” or “next” because there’s nothing for it to display. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/calendar-widget/
