Calendar widget doesn’t show different colors for dates with posts

    I put the calendar widget on the footer 3, however, the calendar doesn’t highlight/ underline the dates with posts as presented in the instruction site. When I hover the mouse, it indicates an invisible hyperlink which brought me to the post of respective date. If clicks to previous month, the page will show all the posts of that month. I’m not sure if this is an issue with wordpress or with the theme we are using. Please advise. Thanks.

    This site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider. This is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ – so our support for this site is limited.

    This sounds like it’s a problem with the theme. To check, is this calendar run by a plugin? If yes, which plugin is in use?
