Can a website be brought back after a few years

    I think in 2015 – 2016 I had a URL and website that was hosted through WordPress – http://www.stumblingthroughlife.com

I would love to get that website/blog going again. Is it possible to do that? Get a new subscription through WordPress, make the old sit live again, and updating it?

    Hi there!

I looked up the domain stumblingthroughlife.com to see if it was hosted by us at some point in the past, and I can confirm that it wasn’t hosted here.

This means you were using the WordPress.org software. We primarily help with WordPress.com sites on this forum.

There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.

WordPress.org sites have to be hosted by other hosting companies. Because they are completely different, we don’t have access to those sites, and you’d need to contact your hosting service provider to see if they can help you with that.

The domain is pointed to GoDaddy servers at the moment although it seems to redirect to a Blogger site. Perhaps you had the site hosted by GoDaddy as well? It might be worth reaching out to them so that they can share more insights.

    Regards
