Can I access my website again ?
-
Hello
I have a problem for connecting on my new website that seems to have been “killed” by my blog.
My blog user name is frederictonton and my website username is crossingfrederic, but both are at the same e-mail address.
Could you help me with that please ?
Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s my blog USERNAME not my url.
My blog address is justanotherlight.wordpress.com and my site address is justanotherlight.com -
I am not having any trouble viewing justanotherlight.wordpress.com.
The justanotherlight.com domain seems to be pointing to a self-hosted WordPress site that appears to have some css/theme issues.
If justanotherlight.com is the site you are asking about, I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, as justanotherlight.com is a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, WordPress.com support cannot help.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/
If you have questions or problems with your justanotherlight.wordpress.com site, I will be happy to help.

Hello,
I know the distinction, I wanted to create a website : justanotherlight.com and I did it with another host.
The problem is that if there are some theme issues, it’s because something went wrong with the identification and now if I want to make any change on it, it connects me to the Dashboard of the blog : justanotherlight.wordpress.com as if the WordPress hosted blog had “eaten” the somewhere else hosted website. Do you get the problem now ?
-
Yes. Your domain name is pointing to your WordPress.com blog. You will need to change the nameservers so that it points to your other blog.
-
-
Where is the domain registered? If you registered it here, go to http://justanotherlight.wordpress.com/wp-admin and change the settings there.
-
OVH. and the address is http://www.justanotherlight.com but from the address you showed me, which is the Dashboard of the WordPress hosted blog, I can’t seem the “detach it” because this “www.justanotherlight.com ” URL is not mentioned anywhere, although it seems I have more functionalities on the Dashboard of the WordPress hosted blog since this unrequested merger happened.

In the customizable part, there are quite a few ones, in the settings too, they looks like the feature I benefited from the site I created when I paid for it….but the thing is that this WordPress Dashboard won’t recognise this website, and it’s like I have not paid anything, like the domain name I bought was lost :s and there doesn’t seem to be anything I can do from this Dashboard to find it back :s
-
And I have added a friend to the users of the website “www.justanotherlight.com” but he can’t access it either, when he tries to there’s a page saying “403 Forbidden” and in the bar, the address is the one of the blog http://justanotherlight.wordpress.com/wp-admin on which he isn’t registered at all, obviously
-
What does the dashboard have that it didn’t have before? Sounds to me like you’re on a WP.org dashboard.
http://justanotherlight.com/ is directing correctly for me. It is not pointing to any WordPress.com site.
-
Yeah, anyone can go on it, but you can see there’s something wrong about it, there’s no theme nicely appearing like it did a few days before…and I can certify the Dashboard I can only connect on is the one people gave me the address here http://justanotherlight.wordpress.com/wp-admin ….
-
That’s because the OTHER blog has a problem. Did your web host give you a Cpanel? If so, use it. We cannot help you with that blog.
-
If you are seeing more options on your dashboard (plugins for example) then you are logged into your WordPress.org self-hosted site.
-
well, it’s still not the dashboard of “www.justanotherlight.com” but of “www.justanotherlight.wordpress.com”. I guess I need to check with my host, but it really looks like my “www.justanotherlight.com” admin access just vanished even though the website is still accessible.
-
I’m not sure what the deal is, but I think you are going to need to talk to your webhost. There appears to be something very wrong with your self-hosted site. According to the nameservers for justanotherlight are pointing to dns108.ovh.net. That would indicated that ovh.net is your webhost.
