Can I add a photo gallery to my post on an iPad?

I can not find a way to add a gallery to a post from my iPad.
A) There is no gallery feature in the app
B) if I’ve added photos to the text of the blog, I can get to the gallery tool through the “Add Media” tool. However, in the gallery tab of the add media tool, the “insert gallery” button does not seem to work in either safari or chrome.
Ideally, I want to add several photos from my iPad photo library to a gallery without necessarily adding all of the photos individually inline in the actual blog. It would be great if the “From Computer” tool, which lets you upload several photos to a gallery at once, worked for the iPad!

When you’re using the iPad app, try just typing in the gallery shortcode instead: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/#gallery-shortcode
