Can I buy a domain for more than 1 year?

  I am setting up a blog for a project and while our funding will be over in 1 year, I would like to keep the domain active for 3 years. Is it possible to just pay for 3 years right away? Or can it only be on a year to year renewal basis?

  Hi there,

  All WordPress.com upgrades, including custom domain names, are yearly upgrades and can’t be purchased for more than a year at a time. (You can set up auto renew on your My Upgrades page to have the upgrade automatically renew each year, but there isn’t a way to prepay that yearly renewal.)
