Can I copy my existing blog and save the copied version under a new domain name?

  I want to keep my existing blog exactly as is as I am using it to teach a course.

  However, I would like to COPY that blog, rename it (give it a new domain name), and then tweak it (by deleting some content) in order to use it with a different audience. Can this be done? If so, how?

  To change a blog URL ending in wordpress.com, please follow these steps. Another alternative is to purchase a custom domain name to take “wordpress” out of the domain altogether.

  To register a domain name, go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.

  Please take a look at the following guide before going through the process.

  Both methods won’t affect your blog content.

  Thank you for your replay. My question, however, isn’t about changing the domain name – it’s primarily about copying my blog so that I will have TWO identical blogs (to start) under two different domain names. How do I COPY it.

  I was told by a friend that to do this I would need to import the file. However, when I went to Tools, Import, I got this message:

  “Howdy! Upload your WordPress eXtended RSS (WXR) file and we’ll import the posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags into this site.

  Choose a WXR (.xml) file to upload, then click Upload file and import.

  Choose a file from your computer:”

  If I want to import my existing blog, I don’t understand how there would be a file on my computer for it – the file is on YOUR computer. So where do I find the WXR (.xml) file for my existing blog so that I can upload and import it?
