Can I create website with unique pages for menu and sub-menu items?
-
Hello,
I would like to create a website using drag-n-drop option on premium membership. Before I purchase the membership, I would like to know whether you would be able to provide me what I am looking for. It is primarily a blog but with a ‘news site’ layout. I have tried Wix and DudaOne but they don’t have option to create posts for each sub menu.
Here is what I am looking for: The header will contain 5 to 6 sections in the main menu, then each section will have a sub-menu with 4 to 5 sub-section. So for example first item in the top menu ‘Economics’ (one of the main pages) will have sub-menus (sub-pages) 1. microeconomics, 2. macroeconomics, 3. econometrics etc. And another main menu item ‘Curiosity’ (another main page) will have sub-menu (sub page): 1. Music 2. Art 3. Health 4. Travel.
Side-bar will contain ”recent post”, ”categories”, a search engine, and ”archive” etc. options. The Homepage will contain latest blog posts.
Can you please let me know if I can make a website with such options on WordPress? I am very keen to purchase a business membership as it has the most features, but I confirmation before I spend a large amount of money.
Here are two similar website that would help you understand what I am looking for: http://www.epi.org/ and tutor2u.com.
Thank you
Regards

Hi there,
You can use a custom menu to create a menu with sub-headings, and you can use category pages to group your posts under specific topics in the menu. You can find detailed instructions how to set that up at these links:
Whether or not your site has a sidebar depends on the theme you choose for your site.
I suggest you work through the following link. It will teach you all the basics about using WordPress.com and will give you a good idea of what is possible here:
