Can I get a refund after cancelling my auto renewal

  I got WordPress about a year ago but was not aware that I had requested the auto renewal feature, and this morning received an email saying that I had made a payment as a result of this. I went into my WordPress account to cancel the auto renewal, but I would also like to cancel the blog – however, it says I am unable to get a refund. Is it possible if I cancel my blog I can get my refund back please and I will just continue with my basic blog?

  I can absolutely help you with that.

  Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain amusethismuse.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using amusethismuse.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.

  Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

  Also, it looks like that payment was voided. So if you wish to keep the amusethismuse.com domain, we will need to set up a manual payment for that domain registration. Let me know.

  I am seeing a “voided” message. So it should not have gone through. If you see something different on your end, please let me know.

  If you would also like to delete your WordPress.com site, there are options and instructions for doing so here:

  Delete a Website

  Please bear in mind that once deleted, that site’s WordPress.com URL will become permanently unavailable for future use. If you feel that you might need that URL again in the future, you might want to choose one of the other options listed on the the page linked above.
