Can I have this count-down feature on my website?

    I came across on this website (https://www.codworkshop.com/) that they have a really cool function of a timer counting down for people to register to get a pass to the video.
    Can I do this on WordPress as well?

    There are a number of plugins that can do that. However, you have to be on a business plan or eCommerce plan with WordPress.com to enable the installation of plugins.

    If you are already on one of these plans, here are some plugins that could help you achieve this:

    Countdown Timer – Widget Countdown
    Countdown Timer Ultimate
    Countdown, Coming Soon, Maintenance – Countdown & Clock

    The plugin developers would usually have guidelines on how to install them and their various use cases.

    Thank you both for sharing these useful tools!! Really appreciate it :)
    Do you happen to know any else that is connected with the video itself? Like if I set up a 24hr countdown, people can have access to my video during this time period, so there will be a 24hr countdown next to my video, urging the viewer to watch the video before back to 0.

    To tie the countdown timer to the ability to access certain content on your site, you’ll need a plugin. I have no idea which plugin, though – the site you linked to is custom-built, in other words they’re not using WordPress, and that feature was likely coded for them from scratch, so you can’t just re-use what they’re using.

    For suggestions on what plugins might work for something like this, you can try asking in the WordPress.org support forums instead – the people there are the ones who make the open source WordPress software and plugins for that software, so they have more experience on what’s possible, and knowledge on what’s out there.
