Can I map a domain I own to replace an existing WP Custom domain?

    I have a custom domain purchased from WordPress.com associated with my blog but i want to change to a domain that I already own. Will the domain mapping procedure work to replace the custom domain I purchased from WordPress?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Yes. Once you have mapping set up for the new domain, remember to update your primary domain by logging into your WordPress.com site’s dashboard and going to Store–>Domains.
