Can I migrate from a WordPress.com platform to a WordPress.org platform?

I want to migrate my blog platform from wordpress.com to wordpress.org in order to access more customizability and freedom. Is this possible?
Since I set up my website through WordPress.com, and I purchased a domain name, I figure I still own that domain name. I just don’t know how to access my Webhost because I wasn’t given that information when I upgraded.
