Can I move my existing domain to wordpress & create a new website using Wpress?

  I have an existing .com domain elsewhere but want to design a new website. Can I do this by clicking “add a domain”/or “map a domain”, move my domain to my wordpress account, follow the instructions and then create my new website using a wordpress template? Thanks for your help!

  Well, it depends what you mean by “design a website.” WordPress.com is not a good place for tinkering with design. Our security constraints are such that we can only do some superficial changes to the CSS, and that only with the paid upgrade. Sounds like you may want a WordPress.ORG install if you really do want to play with design.
