Can I point a DNS records at a wordpress.com business-level blog
-
Hi,
We have a number of websites hosted elsewhere on which we run our business and client portals at addresses on one domain, such as portal.ourdomainname.com and public.ourdomainname.com etc…
If I purchase a business-level account with wordpress.com do I get a dedicated IP address? Can I, therefore, point a DNS record for blogs.ourdomainname.com at my blog instance?

Hi there,
WordPress.com doesn’t use static IP addresses, but you can always use a CNAME record to map a subdomain like blogs.ourdomainname.com to a WordPress.com site.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about that. :)
