Can I promote local businesses without getting in trouble for advertising?

  I am a real estate agent and am looking to support and promote local businesses in my community. I would like to do a feature post or something of the like to draw attention to these businesses. would maybe write a post about them and then they maybe offer a 10% off if you go there and mention this post etc. I would like to display their logos maybe in my sidebar as well. The point is, I want to know if I can do this? I will not be getting paid to post, only trying to support the community. I don’t want to get in trouble for breaking the advertising rules. Can you help?

  If it’s local and community-driven, that should be just fine, as long as it’s not the sole feature of your blog.
