Can I purchase a blog theme and host it elsewhere

  I wanted to purchase a blog for different site I own.

  However when i go to pay it only gives me the option of having the blog here on my WP account. How do I bypass this?

  You can’t bypass it. The themes for sale on WP.com are only for WP.com blogs. If you want a blog theme for a WordPress.ORG site, use your .org tools to find one. There are thousands.

  Thanks for the quick response. So unlike WP themes for websites if I want to purhcase a WP Blog theme then I can ONLY do it via wp.org – is that correct?

  No. You can just Google “WordPress themes” and away you go. I don’t know what you mean by “WordPress for websites.”
