Can I recover lost information from a previous blog?
-
Lost previous blog information. I wanted to change my address from a separate domain. When I typed in a new URL in the Dashboard, I can’t get any of my old blog entries.
Please help!

I found the data in an SQL database. I’ve downloaded it, but I wish it wasn’t all covered in html.

You can’t move the SQL database directly into your WordPress.COM blog – you can only import it. There are a lot of files in addition to the SQL files in a WordPress.ORG install.
I don’t know if the staff can help you or not or what your other options might be other than installing in on a new server – it looks like you were using WordPress.ORG 2.6 –
I will flag this for staff attention to see if they can help or make suggestions for you.

PS – another option if all else fails would be to copy and paste as much information from search engine Cache’s into your WordPress.COM blog

I may be able to help, but I can’t make any promises just yet. Do you have all the data in a .sql file?
-
There are about 6 databases. I can download them in about 10 different formats (php, csv, xml, doc, sql, pdf…). I can see the text of the posts but I can’t get it formatted. I’m aware there’s a theme probably in a css. I tried the xml, but I’ve only worked with html.

I just need the MySQL database for the blog exported in a .sql file.
Are you able to get that?
