Can I start building my site while I wait 60 days to transfer the domain?

  Hi

  In this statement during the sign up process on WordPress, what is meant by the second part… Is there a way to start building my website while I wait for the 60 days to elapse…?

  Newly registered domains cannot be transferred. This domain can be transferred in 60 days, starting 8 May 2022. You don’t have to wait though, you can connect your domain to your site instead.

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  Hi,

  That just means that you cannot transfer a domain’s registration from one registrar (WordPress.com for example) to another registrar (godaddy.com for example) within 60 days.

  You can absolutely start building your site here at WordPress.com whenever you like!
