Can I use Pay Pal

    Background: I would like to build a full website, that includes a blog as one of several menu items.
    I am going to initially offer teas for sale, tea accessories, and art work for sale.
    I also would want to use pay pal as a provider for the financial transactions for the sale of items.

    Is wordpress capable of allowing and building in this type of website and functionality?

    Well, define “website.” A blog IS a website. Define the actual functions you need. If you need full ecommerce you’ll need the $300 per year bundle of upgrades, but you can use the Paypal Buy It Now button by following the instructions in the Support documents.
