Can I use stats to see if readers correctly used a password
-
I checked in my stats to see if the wrong paswords would register as page views and they did. This meant I was unable to see how many people actually read the page, rather than just tried to read the page.
Is there a way of using stats (or any other tool in WP.com to distinguish between views of a password protected page, and views that successfully used the right password?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, since a password-protected page has the same URL either with or without a password having been entered on it, both views count in your stats.
Just let me know if you need further help or have any other questions.

Thank you both.
Kathrynwp, is there a method by which I can force a distinction? Some manner in which I can place some media or code within the post that automatically loads when the full page is displayed, so I can count that instead?
For this post it’s important I am able to see numbers of views for those with the password!
Thanks

What you could do is make the page they click to only a sub-page of another page, then check views of that page.
