Can I use WordPress.com themes if I self-host?

  I am looking to change from http://oureatinghabits.wordpress.com/ to http://www.oureatinghabits.com/. I have gone through all your tutorials, but have one sticking point. I love a theme available on WordPress.com called Vintage Kitchen (http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/vintage-kitchen/). I’d like to buy it and upload the theme .zip to my own host, but am not sure if this theme is transferable when you self-host. Can you confirm that if I purchase this theme, I can obtain the files to load onto my own host? Thank you!

  No you cannot. WordPress.com themes are adapted to run on this software and are not exportable.
