Can I use wp for photo & video sharing site?

  I have been wandering how I can use wpress to create an eye catching photo / video site
  where people upload photos / videos & share with loved ones & friends.
  Please I need help.

  You cannot use WordPress.com as the basis for this kind of thing. You cannot, in fact, use any free web platform of which I am aware. You would be able to do it with paid hosting and software from WordPress.ORG, as long as you had a lot of technical knowledge and a lot of money. These things are not cheap to build, generally speaking.

  You could also look at a wiki. Just use Google to find wiki software.

  Photo and video sharing sites take lots of bandwidth as you will find out as your traffic grows. The site of one photographer friend of my burns up nearly 20GB per month. Vids will typically take even more since they are typically much larger than images.

  Just something to keep in mind.
