Can I use WP to create an online resource library for paid members to share created content?

    Hello WP friends! I would like to create an online platform where teachers can share and access created instructional resources, e.g., lesson plans, videos, activities, worksheets, etc. This platform would be accessible to paid members of our non-profit organization only (and linked from our existing website). We will give new members a unique login/password to access this platform. Could I create such a platform with WP? Thank you!!

    Hi there,

    I’m sure it’s possible to create something like this with the right plugins, but we’re not able to advise you on the best plugins to use for the resource-library functionality. For that type of advice it would be better to ask in the self-hosted WordPress forums over at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    Using plugins on WordPress.com requires our Business Plan.

    For paid membership functionality we recommend the WooCommerce Memberships plugin, as that’s made by the same company that owns WordPress.com, and support for it is included in our Business Plan (though not the cost of the plugin itself).
