Can Rebalance show Pages on Homepage?
-
I’m using Rebalance Theme. I want the homepage to display my Pages, not Posts. I have set Homepage Custom Settings to “Static Page” but it still displays Posts.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! I’ve put some basic instructions below, first, and a question at the end that we would like your feedback on so we can help you accomplish your goal.
You have two options for what appears on your site’s home page.
1. Blog posts, which you have set currently.
2. A single page that you have created, which is your goal I believe.
To set a single page as your site’s home page, you will first need to create the page. Here is how to do that: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/#create-a-new-page
Once the new page is created, you will need to publish the page. A page that is not published cannot be used a site’s front page.
Once you have published the new page, you can set it as your site’s Home page following this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/
If you have any questions while following these instructions, let us know.
Question for you:
You mention
I want the homepage to display my Pages– Can you tell us more about what you have in mind there? If we can understand what you have in mind for this, we can get you the specific instruction you need to keep moving forward at a pace you like. :) -
Hi, thanks for the info.
What I want is basically to display a tiled gallery of stories I’ve written, but not as a “blog”. What I can’t figure out is how to get the tiled gallery to display a series of pages, the way it is now doing with posts.
The main reason I want to display pages rather than posts, is that I want to control the order they’re displayed in, not “last posted at top”. It looks like I can get this with posts by changing the dates of the posts so they display in the order I want.
But this leads me to another issue. If I want to include a blog somewhere else on my site, can I make it display only posts that I want to display, and not all posts?

We do have two options that might work for you:
1. You can utilize your categories. Each has its own archive page, like https://unstoriable.wordpress.com/category/uncategorized/ and you can add those to your site’s menu: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/
2. You can create pages, like “Reviews” and “Discussions,” still utilize your categories, but add a Blog Posts Block to each of those pages: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/blog-posts-block/
